Terms of Service

License

LightReadr grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal use, subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement and these terms.

Acceptable use

Use LightReadr only for lawful purposes. You're responsible for the content of any ebook files you import — don't use the app to process content you don't have the right to possess or read.

Your content

Books you import remain yours. LightReadr claims no ownership over any book, text, or content you bring into the app. As described in the Privacy Policy, your book files stay on your device. Saved reading position, bookmarks, and highlights are stored on your device and may sync through your own iCloud account. LightReadr’s optional Product Insights do not include that content.

No warranty

LightReadr is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted, error-free operation. Voice narration is generated by a machine learning model and may occasionally mispronounce words, misread text, or behave unexpectedly.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LightReadr's developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Apple App Store terms

Your download and use of LightReadr through the App Store is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and has the right to enforce them, but Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

Termination

You may stop using LightReadr at any time by deleting the app. These terms remain in effect for as long as you use the app.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the app evolves. Continued use of LightReadr after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Your state/country], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
